INTERGENERATIONAL VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Something
new this year – an evening VBS for all ages!

. . and you don’t even have to
cook supper!
Just come on down to South
Church and see what’s cooking.
We’re teaming up with Christ
Church and West Parish, eating, praying and playing together
this year with break-out groups for children and adults.
Each
evening begins with a simple supper followed by singing and
interactive skits focused on team work and service.
We’ll hear stories about
people from the Bible who decided to team up with God, and
we’ll be challenged each evening to “Go Lead, Go Risk, Go
Tell and Go Serve!”
In between the opening and
closing large group gatherings, Pre-K – 5th
travels in small teen led crews, rotating between activities
as adults get together for their own discussion group(s).
We
want everyone to experience what the children have been
talking (and singing) about each summer.
So come on down!

FUN, FOLIAGE, FELLOWSHIP,
FAITH AND THE FUTURE:
The South Church Retreat for
the
Environment, September 26-28, 2009
Please join
us in the White Mountains next fall for South Church’s first
environmental retreat, brought to you by the Board of
Christian Education, the Fellowship Committee, and the Green
Team. We have made arrangements with the Appalachian
Mountain Club’s Highland Center in Crawford Notch, New
Hampshire to host a very special weekend for our South
Church family. The weekend will be filled with a
combination of outdoor activities, interesting and inspiring
discussions and the opportunity to stay an extra day over
the long weekend. More details will be coming but we know
it will be fun, foliage-filled, and full of fellowship,
faith and discussions of the future. Because of the
popularity of this special location during the fall foliage
season, we all need to make our reservations well in
advance. In fact, we are offering this as a Christmas
present option for your family courtesy of the Green Team.
